Global fine chemicals/food ingredients Producer seeks a Plant HR Manager.
Job Summary
This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on coordination. The selected candidate will manage all aspects of human resources for a chemical manufacturing plant, including recruitment,
onboarding, compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, training, and safety programs. Ideal for a professional who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
o Manage full-cycle recruitment: job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer letters. When needed this can be coordinated with outside recruitment agents.
o Conduct new-hire orientation and ensure completion of all required documentation (I9,safety training).
Employee Relations & Performance
o Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
o Coordinate performance reviews and assist with improvement plans.
Compliance & Safety
o Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws (OSHA, FMLA, EEO).
o Maintain safety training records and assist with audits.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
o Process payroll accurately and on time. Recommend and use HRIS systems.
o Administer benefits programs and support open enrollment.
HR Records & Reporting
o Maintain personnel files and HRIS data.
o Generate HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, training completion).
Training & Development
o Schedule and track mandatory training programs.
o Support employee development initiatives.
Employee Engagement
o Organize recognition programs, wellness activities, and plant events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR
certification preferred).
Minimum 3–7 years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or chemical industry.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office; payroll system experience a plus.
